The all-Cowboys NBA draft
12:56 PM Thu, Jun 26, 2008 |This is the kind of blog fodder you get when it's the deadest time in the NFL off-season and I want to cross-self-promote (CHECK OUT THE LIVE DRAFT COVERAGE ON OUR MAVERICKS BLOG TONIGHT!!!)
So I went to the trouble of coming up with a mock NBA draft if only current Cowboys were available. (Hey, it's better than passing on the latest Romessica gossip, right?)
Hoops fans, follow the jump!!!
1. Chicago Bulls
TE Martellus Bennett -- The dude really does think he could play in the NBA. He actually declared for the draft as a high school senior, withdrawing before
the deadline. He's not that good, but he can hoop. Just ask any Aggie. He contributed on good Texas A&M teams for two seasons.
2. Miami Heat
WR Terrell Owens
Played in March Madness for Tennessee-Chattanooga and still has game. He's a high-flying slasher who was the MVP of the celebrity game during NBA
All-Star festivities in February.
3. Minnesota Timberwolves
WR Mark Bradford
The undrafted free agent was a backup point guard on Stanford's 2003-04 squad that won 30 games and was ranked No. 1 for several weeks.
4. Seattle Supersonics
CB Adam Jones
He was a four-year starter for Atlanta powerhouse Westlake High. Several big-time basketball programs recruited Pacman, and he could have played for West
Virginia if he would have cut his hair. He'd the be Cowboys' dunk contest favorite.
