The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced Chad Camper as the new head women's tennis coach Thursday.
Camper replaces Jeff Clark, who recently left to become the director of tennis at McCallie School.
Camper has spent the last three seasons at Louisiana Tech, leading the Lady Techsters to a 15-7 record in 2016 — the third-most wins in program history. They ranked as high as No. 66 in the country.
He was 36-25 in his three seasons in Louisiana, and the team had three All-Conference USA players in each of the three.
"We are excited to welcome Chad Camper as our new women's tennis head coach," UTC vice chancellor and athletic director David Blackburn said in a release. "His success with recruiting and player development in a tough league made him a very attractive candidate."
Camper called Chattanooga "a destination spot" in the release.
"Chattanooga is a tennis-rich environment with great academics, and that will allow us to recruit great players, as well as great students," he said. "The program is set up to win, not only in the Southern Conference, but also on a national level."
