CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team hope to cap a strong fall campaign with another good performance at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. Turtle Point Golf Course on Kiawah Island, S.C., welcomes 20 teams with 14, including the Scenic City ladies, ranked among Golfstat's top 100 teams.
As had been the mantra all fall, coach Colette Murray is more concerned with the process than numbers going into the event.
"We're going to keep doing the things we've been doing and hope that it's enough," Murray stated. "(Turtle Point) plays into our strengths. We have two players that have played well there between Isa and Emily. Emily shot her career-low round there (67) last year and Isa had her best finish of the year there other than the home tournament.
"Pair that with the entire mindset of the other three, I think we are going there in good shape."
Seniors Emily McLennan (72.17) and Isabella Loza (72.78) lead the way with sophomores Megan Woods (74.33) and Cris Perez (74.83) close behind. Freshman Monica San Juan (77.00) joins McLennan (2) and Loza (1) with top 10 finishes on the year.
