2nd in Command!
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior forward Chris Early has been suspended indefinitely for violating the team social media policy.
Early posted six disparaging remarks about UTC coach John Shulman on Twitter from Nov. 16 to Nov. 21.
On Nov. 20 he wrote, “I hate this man with a passion, each and every day I have to see him I become more and more miserable.”
Also that day, he wrote, “There are certain [people] that shouldn’t be able to coach college basketball.”
Shulman sent Early home to Huntington, W.Va., shortly after the Mocs arrived in Lexington, Ky., meaning Early will click here for more

You've probably all seen this by now, but earlier today, Drew Franklin of KSR put up this post about a player on the Chris Early of the Chattanooga Mocs (stats from Statsheet.com). These Twitter comments were made about a month ago by Early, and apparently, it came as unpleasant news to the Mocs head coach, John Shulman. From the Chattanooga blog Mocs Mania!:
Chris Early has been suspended indefinitely for his Twitter comments regarding the year and Coach Shulman. Honestly, this whole thing frustrates me quite a bit. I'm beginning to really hate Twitter.
When I first read Drew's story, I feared this might happen. I really don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand, there is no doubt that Drew was within his rights as a blogger to reveal this information -- it is public and has been out there a while. Not only that, the comments Early made about the head coach are absolutely unethical and indicative of a serious attitude problem that could legitimately click here for more

Meet Chris Early.
The Chattanooga senior forward is averaging seven points and six rebounds for the Mocs this season. He’s also a former high school teammate of Patrick Patterson and O.J. Mayo at Huntingon in West Virginia. That’s your ‘Boone’s Butcher Shop Fun Fact of the Day.’
Now I’ve never met Chris Early, nor have I seen him play basketball, but he seems like a very outgoing person. Ya know, the type of guy who isn’t afraid to tell you what’s on his mind, regardless of the consequences. I’m assuming you don’t know him either but I think you’ll feel the same way about his personality when you see what he has to say about his head coach on Twitter. Here, take a look…

Chattanooga senior Chris Early was suspended indefinitely from the team late Friday by Mocs coach John Shulman for conduct detrimental to the team.
A series of tweets posted by the UTC starting forward in mid-November were uncovered Friday by Kentucky Sports Radio (KSR). Among the most disparaging tweets were, "I'd rather run through hell in gasoline draws than to play for this man for another year," and, "we play for the worst coach in America," and, "I hate this man with a passion, each and every day I see him I become click here for more

On the offensive end John couldn't seem to find the best role. He can shoot (his preference is outside the three point line) and score on the low block. As we all know he's very foul prone. I think he definetly over-signed with Oklahoma though. I will say in his defense he has seemed very tolerant with his coach. I don't think John knows how to handle him but I'm guessing things are going on behnd the scenes. Jamaal Burroughs should get the call. He plays hard, with very good intensuity but truthfully is undersized and very few skills.I guess we get a heavy dose of Drew Baker.

I am thinking Burroughs starts, with more Lance Stokes time in the offing.

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chris Early had to earn his way back into the starting lineup earlier this season.
Now the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga forward has to earn his way back onto the team.
Mocs' head coach John Shulman suspended Early indefinitely Friday night for conduct detrimental to the team. Early made at least six disparaging remarks on his Twitter page about Shulman over a five-day span in November.
The UTC athletics department has a social media policy prohibiting negative comments directed towards fellow players, coaches or UTC officials.
