Special teams coach Ted Daisher, asked what young players he's been most impressed with, singled out cornerback Macho Harris, linebacker Moise Fokou and running back Eldra Buckley.

"They play fast," Daisher said. "And that's what the preseason is for, to identify those players, put them in situations that they would be in in the regular season and see how they do."

Buckley's special teams play could be the difference in his battle with Lorenzo Booker for what could be a third running back spot.

"It's a battle," Mornhinweg said. "Special teams may end up having some effect on that situation I would think. Eldra will play in this league, I don't think there's any question about that. He's a fine football player and a heck of a special teams player."
