Interesting though...I am not sure how they would be included in the APR. I mean, if a kid is a walk-on and they end up leaving for another school, is the program penalized? At some point I will have to ask someone in academic affairs about that (I would think the answer would be no).

You should forward that link to whoever coaches special teams. A kid who can make 50 yrd. fg's and is a very high quality student...what's not like? A few invited walk-ons (that are also good football players) could make the difference in the team's academic standing.

Another interesting potential invited walk-on (good kid/good student) would be the Bingham kid from Eagleville. (also plays some hoops) About 6-6 and 240 more or less - already big enough to play TE on the college level. This premium recruiting blog lists him at 256 pounds, but I'm not so sure that is accurate. (see below) If any d-1 or 1-aa school are recruiting him, I haven't heard about it. Being from a really small school in a really small town could have something to do with it.
