LOL...right, dissing WCU makes us feel better about ourselves...I always thought winning 135+ SoCon titles (I haven't updated the logo above yet for last years title haul) in the last 30 years is what made us feel good.

BTW...I knew you would bring up the small sports argument (and that is not meant as an insult to small sports...I participated in one, and I agree, WCU has some olympic sports that have done well)...but there are only really four attendance sports...football, baseball and men's/women's basketball...and of those four, the women's basketball team is the only one that consistently wins at WCU from Beth to Kellie (you could argue baseball as 2nd). You can talk all you want about the future, but this about the here and now...the Lady Cats are the best thing going and it is a shame that more people don't recognize that. And I say that sincerely. I guess sometimes it just takes time for people to support "girl sports", which is a shame.

As for the blog, I would love to say that I will do more sports (I have already had people email me and say they wish I would do football)...but the honest truth is...I worry that I would burn myself out pretty quickly if I tried to do it year round (I spend anywhere from 1 to 2 hours a day, every day, during basketball season...honestly, I love it...but by the end of the season, it is a grind). We'll see.
