and I will type slowly for you......this has nothing to do with ETSU almost beating UTC.

All those people up there to see football and none of them stayed to watch the only sport that consistently wins at Western? Sad image
You are correct about the attendance at the Lady Cats game. I for one, left the game (disappointed of course) and stayed to watch the Lady Cats win their consolation bracket. With over 14,000 in Cullowhee to see the football game, I had high expectations of a decent crowd at the game. I have no idea why the women's basketball is not better supported with butts in seats. I can only assume, the crowd was dissapointed and very cold and just wanted to go home, while more students sould have been there, but being this was the WNIT, they, as well as, season ticket holders had to purchase tickets for these games.

As far as your comment about women's basketball being "the only sport that consistently wins at Western", I know that dissing Western makes you guys feel better about yourselves, but that is just not accurate. I'd certainly classify baseball, men's and women's track & field teams "consistent winners", along with both men's and women's golf teams, and women's soccer. While women's basketball and softball are well on track to be added to the consistent winners list, I think right now, what with a new football coach (big time improvement this year) and a proven men's basketball coach (ranks as the 12th winningest active coach in the country), overall athletics at WCU is in pretty good shape.

By the way Chattanoogamocs , I think you are doing a great job with the SoConFans.com blog. Do you intend to keep it "basketball" only?
