So they are doing more on the Mocs? I didn't even read the post about the show. I've never watched the show before. My husband and I are lounging
around in our Mocs hoodies and couldn't believe it! It's great!

Jimmy is a funny guy...but he definitely needs to work in the monologue. I don't think people realize how tough it is to give a good monologue (much hard
than set piece comedy). Hopefully he will iron that part out, because I am also now officially a fan.

later on today. Also be watching for the clip tomorrow night so I can see the Shulman interview.

Wonder if he is writing some of the monologue stuff or leaving it to other people. Some of it was his delivery but some was just bad.

Does Fallon have any Chattanooga background? He said Chattanooga correctly and seemed to know the "Go Mocs" cheer fairly well. I don't think
this will help recruiting (I doubt any prospective players are watching this clown), but it was enjoyable anyhow.

No Chattanooga connections...just good research and coaching (after the show contacted the school, the athletics department spent a lot of time with them on
background and sending them video).
It could help recruiting if the coaches were smart enough to call the recruits and let them know when to watch (heck, in this day you don't have to even do that...just watch the highlights online). Just wait until tonight...as reported in the TFP; the band, cheerleaders and sugar mocs will be in New York tomorrow for the show and Shulman will be doing an interview from Philly. The athletics department is sending Big "C" Gold Rush T-Shirts for all the audience members. We think this is good pub from the show? ...just imagine if the Mocs managed the near impossible and upset UConn!

Just saw the sneak peek. Even though this is intended to be light-hearted and humorous, NBC has taken this very seriously. I'm impressed with the research they've done. The piece they did on the school was very well done. I thought it was done by UTC until he started talking about the train dusting himself off "even though trains don't have arms." This is just wonderful. The song on Shulman by the Roots was fantastic. You can't buy publicity like this. Imagine what it would cost to have this much time on network TV. |

All but the train part was done by the school (Owen Seaton edited about 25 minutes of highlights for them too).
I am surprised that there has been no Mr. Belding connections so far...especially since Saved by the Bell was an NBC show.
