One other thing I need to point ou. They groe'em healthy and big boned in that area. Ever see the Michigan St. team....
plenty of muscle.

Imagine how she could open up another area for recruiting. You don't need but one or two every 4 years.
We already have a base area, but having the ability to go out of it can be another plus. If she likes it here (and she will), we have
what no other SoCon team has, a voice from the Great Lakes area.

Yep! There are LOTS of viable options within 2 hours of her, yet she choses Chattanooga! Great situation regardless of the outcome.

Then you know what I mean. For her to travel so far on her own means she wanted to come south pretty bad. May be our gain.
Anybody going so far away from home in order to walk on has to be a model citizen and willing to work hard. Schools our size within 200 mi. of her were/are the ones you mentioned plus at least 5 more MAC schools. You're right, up and coming BGSU is less tha 2 hrs away and Toledo 20 mins less, not to mention the many D-II schools.

I lived in that area for a mere month but I do know the area a bit. Adrian College is very nice and is very close to EMU and Michigan U. Bowling Green is within 2 hours, as is Detroit and any college near that metro area.

There are hundreds more colleges in that area of the country than around here (in both Michigan and Ohio....Adrain is close to Toledo, near the MI-Ohio border). The basketball played in that area of is pretty good so I anticipate she will be a good asset to our program.
So I guess she wanted to come south.....1200 plus pts and a 3.93 GPA will get you plenty of offers...even as an invited walkon.

Aubrey Laughlin is the daughter of Julie Laser Laughlin of Hudson and Joe Laughlin of Adrian. Aubrey is a scholar athlete with a passion for basketball. Aubrey has a 3.9 grade point average and has been a member of the National Honor Society since her sophomore year and is the group's treasurer this year. Aubrey is a twelve Varsity Award winner....
